Everybody Wants Some

Everybody Wants Some

Everybody Wants Some is a Van Halen tribute band that was formed back in 2016. They have quickly established themselves as THE premiere classic Van Halen tribute band in central Massachusetts. On October 2017 they were featured on “Matty and Nick”, a Boston radio station 107.3 WAAF. Through legal problems they had to change their name from Eruption to Everybody Wants Some in early 2018.

All of us are die hard Van Halen fanatics and love the power of what Van Halen brought to the world from 1978-1984 – that raw, hard-driving party rock music you had cranking in your car
cruising around when you were in high school.

We capture that power and energy from Eddie,  Alex,  Mike, and Dave.
From Eddie’s incredible fret work to Alex’s thunderous beats to Mike and Ed’s
beautiful harmonies and of course Dave being Dave.

We give you that experience of when you saw Van Halen in concert for the first time.  Come check us out at a club near you!

Everybody Wants Some:
Bob Whitelock – Lead Vocals
Joe “Shreddy” Girard – Guitar and Backing Vocals
Neil Chauvin– Bass and Backing Vocals
Mark George– Drums

Guitar & Backing Vocals

Hi my name is Joe Girard aka Shreddy. I was born and raised in a little town called Millbury, Ma. I’ve been around music my whole life. At the wee age of 5 my father started teaching me the guitar.

By the time I was 12 years old, I had learned all that my father could teach me. It was right around this time that I heard Eruption and was floored and thought, “How could anyone get that sound out of a guitar?!”

As a teenager I spent many hours in my bedroom playing the guitar trying to learn Eruption and everything Eddie Van Halen. At this time I also took classical guitar lessons to broaden my knowledge of music. I’m also a Randy Rhoads fan.

Having been in various bands in the Worcester area throughout the 80’s and 90’s, my brothers and I started a band called Powerplay with our original vocalist John “Chief” Solomon in 1994. John left EWS in 2018

I left the band in 2016 to pursue my love of playing Eddie Van Halen. I have the pleasure of playing Eddie for you all. It is my pleasure to give you that that Van Halen Fix!!

Shreddy started EWS in 2016

I have been singing rock seriously since I was 16, after years of choir in church as a kid. I was the only guy in the band who could handle the leads. I was the drummer, and was soon convinced to front the band, and we added a new drummer. The rest is history. I had a roommate in the Air Force with two acoustic guitars who taught me some chords. I started writing my own songs shortly after that. I was in two standout bands in Boston, “Masterpiece,” featuring Joe Stump and David Rosenthal and “The Lines,” who had some local airplay and toured all over New England and Bermuda. I love to write and became interested in country music as well, and produced a few albums.

How I joined EWS, I’ve always loved the music of early Van Halen, and really enjoy playing the role of David Lee Roth. This gig found me through a friend, and I wasn’t looking to be in a tribute band, but once I started learning the material, I began to think ahead to the actual stage show. The more the band got tight, the more I absorbed and watched videos of the early Van Halen concerts. Applying DLR’s moves, mannerisms, and vocal style has been a challenge. David Lee Roth was a character for sure. it’s so much fun! People love Van Halen and EWS takes them back to their youth and those great memories we all have. It’s a privilege to be part of this great show and bring this excitement to our fans.

Bob joined EWS in 2019

We are very sorry but we have to cancel this event due to circumstances beyond our control. The band is fine. We were looking forward to making our debut @ The Four Seasons By The Lake. Love you all. Our next gig will be @ Rascals on Jan. 7th. Hope to see you all there.
Announcement: It is with great regret that Bob Pentleton our beloved drummer has decided to leave Everybody Wants Some. Bob was the 1st person we called to start this band 6 1/2 years ago. He will truly be missed. Nobody brings the thunder like Bobby. Thank you Bob for making EWS great again! Bobby I love you man. Don't ever stop playing ever! Bobs last gig is Rascals 1/7/23 Please come wish him well. Bobby will be tough to replace. If you think you have the goods Everybody Wants Some is looking for a new drummer. We work very hard at bringing the sound of the mighty Van Halen. There is a lot of work that goes into the this band. The timing has got to be the hardest. If you think you would like to try this by all means message me. If you are a pro then we need you!! This is the criteria: 1} We have traveling gigs. Must be willing to travel. New England for now but more states later. We work for an entertainment agency called Continental Entertainment. Right now we play 2x a month. Would like more. 2) Must be willing to give your all. Help with setup, ect; 3) Must be willing to dress the part, wig, clothes. You know make your own character. Have fun. 4) I have a EWS drum set you can use. or if youd like you could make your own kit. Think of scheme I like the Fair Warning tour drum set. 5) We need someone who is into this as much as we are. You're that person that will get us to the next level. This band is well respected and play great venues. It really is a great experience. One for the bucket list. Be committed 6) We practice in Millbury, MA. Lets have fun! So if anyone knows a great drummer that loves =VH= and is willing to put in the time. Please have them message me. We are in it to win it!!! We have done this before we can do it again. Thank you all for your support of the band. I Want Some TOO!!!
